Fanvue Review 2026: Pricing, Pros, Cons, Who It Is For

Fanvue review: 20 % fee, $3.99 to $100 subscriptions, payouts, AI creator rules and real downsides for creators and agencies. Checked Oct 2026.

Written byDavid

Fanvue is a good fit for creators and agencies that want a second subscription platform, and it is the main option when the creator is an AI persona. The standard fee is 20 %, so the creator keeps 80 %. Subscriptions run from $3.99 to $100 per month. The trade-offs are strict AI disclosure and identity checks.

Disclosure: Fanvue is a Fanbase Accelerator (FBA) partner. FBA may earn a commission or receive a discount for members if you sign up through our links. This review lists the downsides too.

Fanvue is a subscription fan platform where creators sell monthly subscriptions, paywalled content, pay-per-view messages, tips and custom content, and it is one of the few mainstream alternatives to OnlyFans that openly accepts AI-generated creators. See also the Fanvue tool page.

What is Fanvue and how does it work?

Fanvue is run by Shift Holdings Ltd, according to its own earnings policy. A creator signs up, completes creator onboarding and identity verification, sets a monthly subscription price, and then sells content and messages to fans. Earnings from subscriptions, tips, pay-per-view messages, bundles and custom content all fall under the same fee rule.

The homepage claims "200,000+ creators" and shows creators from sport, music, art, fashion and travel, plus an AI influencer. Treat the creator count as the platform's own marketing figure. For agencies, the practical pieces are manager accounts, team member access and an open API.

How much does Fanvue cost? Fees and pricing

Fanvue's earnings policy describes its fee as a share of what fans pay. The table below uses the official policy and help centre pages.

In our comparison, the 20 % fee matches the standard rate of OnlyFans and Fansly, so Fanvue is not cheaper on paper unless a promotional rate applies. For the full side-by-side, see OnlyFans vs Fansly vs Fanvue.

What features does Fanvue offer?

Features below come from the official homepage and help centre.

  • Monthly subscriptions and paywalled content for recurring income.
  • Payments, payouts and checkout links.
  • AI analytics and earning insights, listed as new on the homepage.
  • AI voice calls and AI voice notes, also listed as new on the homepage.
  • App Store and Open API, described as built for AI builders.
  • Manager Accounts for agencies that handle several creator profiles from one login.
  • Team members (chatters) who can access the main feed, messages and the vault with limited permissions.

The team setup has limits. Team members cannot delete or post content and are limited to chatting and content review. By default they can see all creator accounts under the manager account, so restricting access means creating separate manager accounts. Fanvue's help centre also says only one manager account can be assigned per creator for now.

What are Fanvue's AI creator rules?

This is the main reason to look at Fanvue. The help centre says the platform allows fully AI-generated content and welcomes AI creators, with conditions:

  • Clear disclosure. AI media must be disclosed as not real, in the profile bio, a caption or a watermark. Missing disclosure can lead to removal or suspension.
  • AI tag. Every AI creator account carries an AI tag in its bio, and the help centre says this labelling is required by law.
  • Verification. AI creators still pass the same checks as human creators: a valid government-issued ID or passport and a selfie, even if no face appears in the content.
  • Real people behind faces. Face-swapped or deepfaked content is allowed only if the real person behind the body is verified. AI media must not depict a real person other than the account owner.
  • Age. AI media must not depict, or appear to depict, anyone under 18, and prompt text cannot be used to prove age.
  • No pretending. An AI model cannot tell fans it is a real person in posts or chats.
  • Moderation. Content must pass a "Reasonable Person's Test" run by three or more moderators. Repeated failures may lead to a permanent ban.

If you are building an AI model business, learn the workflow in the AI NSFW content course and the AI influencer course. Both are free on FBA. Read the live policy before you upload anything.

What are the pros of Fanvue?

  • Openly accepts AI creators with a written policy, instead of leaving them in a grey zone.
  • Agency tooling. Manager Accounts, team invites for chatters and an open API.
  • Standard 80 % creator share with a possible promotional rate for new creators.
  • Clear subscription range ($3.99 to $100) and published payout rules.

What are the cons and limits of Fanvue?

  • The fee is not lower. A 20 % standard platform fee equals the other big platforms, so you pay for the platform in the same way.
  • Traffic is your job. A platform does not send fans by itself. In agency practice, OnlyFans still brings the most revenue for a real creator with traffic, so Fanvue works best as an addition. See how to get traffic for OnlyFans and apply the same funnels here.
  • Payout timing is not fixed. The pending period can stretch from 7 to 28 days based on Fanvue's risk systems, and the policy says it can change without notice. Plan cash flow with the longer number.
  • Dormant balances. If you neither request a payout nor submit a required invoice for 12 months, the policy lets Fanvue classify the balance as dormant. US balances follow state unclaimed property rules instead.
  • Short claim window. Payout errors must be reported within 30 days of the transaction.
  • Strict AI and identity rules. Verification, disclosure and moderation take effort, and a violation can mean removed content, earnings deduction or a ban.
  • Single manager per creator. Agencies with several admins on one creator must work around this limit.
  • Policy dependence. Fanvue can change rules, fees and promotions at its discretion, so never rely on one platform.

Who should use Fanvue, and who should skip it?

Good fit:

  • AI model operators who want a platform with a written policy for AI creators.
  • Agencies that want a second platform and already have a chatting team and CRM workflow.

Skip it, or wait, if:

  • You want a lower fee than 20 % with no conditions.
  • You are unwilling to complete identity verification or label AI content.
  • You expect fans to appear without any traffic plan of your own.

What are the alternatives to Fanvue?

  • OnlyFans. The default platform for most agencies, with identity checks and its own AI tagging rules.
  • Fansly. A subscription platform with its own discovery and team access features.

The detailed comparison, with fees, payouts and AI rules side by side, is in our OnlyFans vs Fansly vs Fanvue pillar article.

How do you get started on Fanvue?

  1. Create the account at fanvue.com and complete creator onboarding with ID and a selfie.
  2. If the model is AI, add the disclosure to the bio and confirm the AI tag.
  3. Set the subscription price between $3.99 and $100, and upload at least 5 pieces of content.
  4. Add a payout method early, because new methods go through a security review of up to 24 hours.
  5. If you run an agency, set up a Manager Account and invite chatters as team members.
  6. Plan your first sales with the $1,000 in 5 Days strategy guide, then track what converts.

Our verdict: Fanvue is a credible second platform and the clearest home for AI creators, as long as you follow its disclosure and verification rules and bring your own traffic.
